Auction Delivery Details
SCA can arrange domestic and international delivery to your door as your shipping agent. Shipping quotes available via calculator on listings or by contacting SCA. Shipping is FOB with liability disclaimed by SCA; pickup during the yard’s free window is not guaranteed. Shipping must be fully paid before dispatch; if SCA cannot pick up within the yard window, storage fees ($50/day) may accrue. Shipping can be paid by credit/debit card.

Seller Fees
SCA “Sell My Car” service advertises every step of the sale is free to the seller (free valuation, free listing to dealer network, free home collection). Service is funded by dealer-paid commission; sellers pay no transfer or hidden fees.
Storage Holding Fees
Free storage window varies by yard: 2–5 business days from the day of sale (including sale day). After that, storage is $50/day. Terms also note vehicles not removed within 10 days may be deemed abandoned and liquidated with no compensation to buyer. A “dry run” fee ($250 or 10% of delivery price, whichever is greater) may apply if outstanding fees prevent pickup.
Who can Register
Open to the public; no dealer license required. Must be 18+ with valid government-issued ID. Registration is online and free. To bid, place a refundable security deposit of $1,000 or 15% of your intended max bid (greater). Deposit sets Buying Power; cannot be used to pay for vehicle or shipping; refundable if no balances and vehicle picked up. Membership tiers: Basic (free; pre-bid only), Premier ($199/yr), Expert ($549/yr) with increasing limits and live bidding access.

Won vehicle payments: Bank wire transfer only. Not accepted for vehicle payments: credit card, debit card, PayPal, trade-ins, cashier’s checks, money orders, ACH; no in-person payments at office. Shipping payments: credit or debit card accepted when ordering shipping with SCA.

Online only. Basic members: pre-bid (no live). Premier/Expert: live bidding and pre-bid. Buy It Now (all members on eligible vehicles).

Pickup Rules
Purchased vehicles should be removed from the IAA facility the same day when possible. Vehicles may not be driven from the auction lot regardless of condition; removal must be via licensed and insured transportation company. Buyer assumes risk once bid is accepted and is responsible for proper securement; SCA/IAA disclaim liability for loading/transport. Storage begins after 2–5 business days depending on yard; vehicles not removed within 10 days may be treated as abandoned and liquidated. Outstanding storage/yard fees must be cleared before pickup; otherwise a dry-run fee may be charged.
