Auction Format
Online bidding facilitated through Proxibid. Participants must create an account with Proxibid and log in to bid.
Auction Schedule
Auctions are held on the second Saturday of each month. Pre-bidding is available as soon as items appear in the catalogs. Gates open at 8:00 am, and each ring starts closing at 9:00 am. There is no live bidding on-site. The auction typically concludes by 2:00 or 3:00 pm. The facility remains open on auction day until 4:30 pm for payment and pickup.
Buyer Fee Details
Applicable sales tax, internet fees, buyer fees, title fees, and tag fees apply. Items from various government consignors may require a buyer fee by contract. Each item that will have a buyer fee will reflect the percentage in the description of the item. All items in the auction will have an internet fee that is listed at the top of the catalog page.

Tampa Machinery Auction, Inc. is the largest regularly scheduled public auction in the southeast, selling vehicles and equipment for government agencies, corporate fleets, finance companies, dealers, and individuals. They handle around a thousand pieces in each monthly auction and consistently sell in excess of eighty percent of their inventory.
Policies
All items are sold 'AS IS, WHERE IS' without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied.
Full payment is required before the close of business on the first Monday after the auction.
Applicable sales tax will be collected on all transactions unless a valid Florida tax-exempt certificate is provided.
Payment Methods
Accepted payment methods include cash, certified funds (such as cashier's checks, traveler's checks, and money orders), and wire transfers. Company or personal checks are acceptable but require five business days for collection verification unless accompanied by a bank guarantee letter. Credit or debit cards are not accepted due to escrow rules.
Pickup Rules
Buyers have two weeks after the auction to pick up items before storage charges begin. Assistance with loading is provided as a courtesy, but the auction is not responsible for damaged or stolen items left on the grounds.
Seller Fees
The standard commission is 10% of the first $10,000 and 5% of the balance over $10,000 per item, with a $75 minimum for non-titled items and a $100 minimum for titled items. Some items may be price protected; however, there will be a no-sale fee charged on items that do not sell. The fee will be 3% of the minimum price, with a $150 maximum fee per item.
Storage Holding Fees
Buyers have two weeks after the auction to pick up items before storage charges begin to accrue at a rate of $10 per item per day.
Who can Register
Registration is open to individuals aged 18 and over. A photo identification issued by a government agency is required after purchase. Registration can be completed online through the website. There is no cost to register.
