The auction includes both vehicle and miscellaneous item auctions. Vehicles are sold to the highest bidder with no minimums or reserves.

Auctions are conducted online only, with live bidding available through the HiBid platform.
Auction Schedule
Auctions are held monthly, typically starting on the 1st of each month and ending on varying dates. For example, the August 2025 auction runs from August 1 at 8:00am to August 6 at 6:00pm. Preview times are available August 1-6, 11:00am-4:00pm (excluding Sunday).
Buyer Fee Details
Buyers are required to pay a 13% Buyer's Premium, 8.9% sales tax, a $50 Document Fee, and Department of Licensing estimated titling fees. A $500 cash deposit is due immediately upon winning a bid.

Bellingham Public Auto Auction LLC has been serving Bellingham and its surrounding areas for over 25 years, specializing in cars, trucks, SUVs, heavy equipment, and local government surplus vehicles. They also auction tools, antiques, and more. Auctions are held every first Saturday of the month (excluding January and July), with gates opening and preview beginning at 8:00am. Entry and registration are free.

・All vehicles are sold as-is/where-is with no warranty implied or promised.
・Out-of-state residents may be eligible for a sales tax refund by providing specific documentation. Starting July 1, 2019, businesses are required to collect retail sales tax on purchases by qualified nonresidents. Refunds can be requested directly from the Department of Revenue starting January 1, 2020.

・Accepted payment methods include cash, cashier's check, credit, and debit cards. Deposits are cash only. Any amount put on a credit or debit card incurs a 3% convenience fee.
Pickup Rules
Vehicles must be picked up by 5:00pm PST on the specified date. If pickup is required after this date, a $100 fee will be charged. Buyers are responsible for the removal of items and assume all risk and responsibility for loading and securing loads.

If a vehicle is not picked up by the specified date and an employee is required to meet the buyer at a later date, a $100 fee will be charged.
Who can Register
Registration is free and open to the public. A bidder's card is required to bid on any item in the auction. Registration is available at the back of the lot to the left of the title clerk window.
