Tracking Methods Used on the Exchange
At Auto Hauler Exchange (AHX), real-time tracking is a requirement—and a critical part of ensuring speed, visibility, and trust between shippers and carriers.
To meet this requirement, every carrier must use one of the following approved tracking methods when hauling a load through the Exchange.
SuperDispatch
SuperDispatch is a widely used car hauler app that integrates seamlessly with AHX. It allows carriers to manage loads, update load status in real-time, and share photos and tracking data automatically.
Key Benefits:
- Mobile-friendly app for live updates
- Automatic status updates in AHX
- Simple document creation to make paperwork seamless
- Integrated tracking visible to shippers on AHX
If you're already using SuperDispatch, simply enable tracking and ensure your driver is linked to the AHX load.
If you do not choose a tracking provider, SuperDispatch will be the default. If you do not use SuperDispatch, contact our team to switch to one of our two other tracking options, listed below.

MacroPoint
MacroPoint provides GPS-based tracking that integrates with mobile devices.
Key Benefits:
- Simple location-based tracking app with ability to update load status
- Works in the background once permission is granted
- Carrier location is shared securely through AHX
After booking a load, AHX will trigger a MarcoPoint tracking request to the listed driver. Once the driver phone number is accurate, the MacroPoint app is downloaded, and location permissions are shared, your tracking is all set!

ELD
What is an ELD?
ELD stands for Electronic Logging Device. It's a federally mandated technology that automatically records a commercial motor vehicle driver's driving time, engine hours, vehicle movement, and location. The goal of ELD tracking is to ensure compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Hours of Service (HOS) regulations, which are designed to prevent driver fatigue and improve road safety.
If you already use an ELD provider for DOT compliance, you can use it as your tracking method on the Exchange—provided it integrates with our system.
Key Benefits:
- No additional apps needed
- Provides accurate, real-time location data during AHX loads only
- Tracks driving hours, location, and stop history while a truck is selected
Why We Require Tracking
- Improved Visibility: Shippers can see where their vehicle is at all times
- Maximized Efficiency: Automatic load status updates save everyone time, reducing follow-up communication
- Faster Issue Resolution: Delays or routing problems can be identified and addressed quickly
- Streamlined Payments: Tracking data helps verify delivery and accelerate the payment process
- Trust and Accountability: Builds confidence across the platform and ensures compliance
Loads that are not actively tracked are subject to a non-tracking fee. Carriers successfully connected to AHX via SuperDispatch or ELD Tracking will not be charged a non-tracking fee.
