List Price vs Max Price When Uploading a Load
When uploading a load on Auto Hauler Exchange, you’ll notice two pricing terms that help shape your shipment’s success: List Price and Max Price. Here's what they mean and how they impact your load.
List Price
The List Price is the dollar amount you set when posting a vehicle. This price is publicly visible to all carriers on the Exchange.
- Serves as your offer for transporting the vehicle(s)
- Carriers see this price and can book the load instantly if they accept the price
- You can edit or adjust it at any time to stay competitive
Max Price
The Max Price is only visible to you as the shipper and reflects the highest dollar amount you are willing to pay.
- Set the max price you're willing to pay
- Carrier bids at or between your List Price and Max Price will be auto-accepted
- Carriers do not see this amount when booking loads
- You have the flexibility to adjust your Max Price to match current demand
Bidding on Loads
Carriers have the ability to bid on your load if they want to propose a higher price than you listed. If their bid falls between the List Price and Max Price, the carrier will automatically be taken to the checkout screen, allowing them to book your load at that bid price.
Note that just because a bid is accepted does not mean that the carrier is assigned. They must still book the load via the Checkout Page.
For more specific information on the bidding process, visit our full guide on bidding on the Exchange.
Pro Tip:
If your load sits unclaimed, it may be time to adjust the List Price.
