A Guide to the AI Pricing Engine

The AI Pricing Engine is designed to help shippers move vehicles faster by automatically adjusting pricing within the Exchange. Instead of manually checking and raising rates, the tool works in the background to keep your shipments competitive in real time.

How It Works

1. You Set the Price
   When posting a shipment, you set your own price — what you’re willing to pay a carrier to move that vehicle. This includes both the list price and max price. This ensures you stay in control of costs. The AI Pricing Engine will never raise the rate above the maximum you’ve defined.
   
   
2. The AI Adjusts Automatically
   If your shipment hasn’t been booked after a certain amount of time on the board, the AI Pricing Engine will gradually increase the listed price within your set range. The amount of time and percent increase is based on market data and booking trends. This automatic adjustment makes your load more attractive to carriers. It is important to note that if you manually adjust a load’s price, the system will pause the automation for 24 hours.

3. Stay Competitive in the Market
   The tool uses market data and booking trends to decide when and how much to increase your price. This keeps your vehicles moving quickly without requiring constant monitoring from you or your team.

Activating the AI Pricing Engine

You can choose how to apply the AI Pricing Engine:

Account-Level Setting: 

You can turn the tool on for all of your shipments. This is great for teams who want consistency and don’t want to worry about manually enabling it each time.

You can find this in your “Account.”

Under “Storefront Settings” you will find the AI Pricing Engine. 

If it is toggled OFF, then your entire account will default to NOT use the AI Pricing Engine unless changed in an individual load.

If it is togged ON, then your entire account will default to use the AI Pricing Engine unless changed in an individual load.

This can be changed at any time but will not affect the loads already uploaded.

Per-Load Setting: 

You can also activate the AI Pricing Engine for individual shipments only. This gives you the flexibility to decide when AI pricing makes sense and when you’d rather manage pricing manually.

When uploading a load you can choose to toggle on/off per shipment. 

Adding or Removing the AI Pricing Engine After Uploading

If you have already uploaded a load and want to enable the AI Pricing Engine after the fact, you can do so by editing your load. 

Step 1:

Navigate to the load you wish to update.

Step 2:

Click the blue edit button in the top left corner of your load.

You can also find the edit button by clicking on the Action Menu (3 dots) next to your load on the shipper dashboard.

Step 3: 

Here you will find the AI Pricing Engine button. Toggle on/off the AI Pricing Engine depending on your needs.

Step 4: 

Click “Submit” to make the update to your load.

Once you have enabled the AI Pricing Engine, an “AI Icon” will appear next to your load on the dashboard. This helps you see exactly which loads are being updated using the AI Pricing Engine.
