Copart Delivery can be ordered from the Payments Due page. You’ll see an estimate, select Delivery, and pay like a vehicle payment. Typical timeframes: a few business days within ~100 miles, up to ~2–3 weeks if farther.
Buyer Fee Details
3 days free including the day of sale; then daily storage per local schedule. Weekends/holidays are charged unless occurring within the first 3 days (online bids) or first 2 days (Buy It Now).

Free storage for the first 3 days including the day of sale for online bids. Storage will be charged on weekends and holidays unless the weekend/holiday occurs within the first 3 days for online bids or first 2 days for Buy It Now bids. Storage rates (as of 1/7/2019) for NE - Lincoln: Online Bids—Day 1: FREE, Day 2: FREE, Day 3: FREE, Day 4: $5, Day 5: $10, Day 6: $15, Day 7: $20, Day 8: $25, Day 9: $25, Day 10+: $30. Buy It Now—Day 1: FREE, Day 2: FREE, Day 3: $5, Day 4: $5, Day 5: $10, Day 6: $15, Day 7: $20, Day 8: $25, Day 9: $25, Day 10+: $30. Copart also states vehicles are held at no charge for up to 3 days and storage fees vary by location.
Who can Register
Public and business buyers can register online. Some vehicles require business/dealer licenses depending on state rules; "No License Required" vehicles can be purchased by the general public. Basic Membership ($99/year) includes up to $2,000 buying power without a deposit; to bid more, Basic Members add a refundable deposit equal to 10% of desired buying power. Premier Membership ($249/year) requires a one-time refundable $400 deposit and provides up to $100,000 daily buying power and priority in-location assistance. All members must provide a valid government-issued ID; additional licenses may be required per state.

Accepted (availability may vary by buyer type/location): ePay (bank), debit cards, wire transfer, MoneyGram and Western Union (treated as secure funds), credit cards (non-secure; daily limits apply), approved company checks for domestic business buyers (application required). Not accepted/limited: Personal checks not accepted; Effective May 5, 2025, cashier’s checks are no longer accepted; cash is not accepted to purchase vehicles (cash may be accepted for fees only up to location limits, typically up to $600, and in-person payments are subject to a $20 per-vehicle surcharge).
Bidding Methods
Online only (Copart.com and Copart Mobile App). Members can place pre-bids, set Max Bid, and join live virtual auctions. In-person bidding is not offered.

Apps and who needs them: Buyers use the Copart Mobile App (App Store: “Copart - Online Auto Auctions”) to search, bid, pay, receive notifications, and access Visitor Sign‑In. For vehicle pickup (self or transporter), Copart requires the Copart Transportation app; transporters must download “Copart Transportation” to receive assignments, schedule pickups, and obtain digital gate passes. Gate Pass PIN: Every lot has a unique PIN required to schedule pickup and to release the vehicle; buyers can send the PIN to a transporter via “Send to Transporter.” For Lincoln (Greenwood), lanes indicate what sells in lane A/B/C; business hours are Mon–Fri 8:00–17:00 CT; auctions occur Tuesdays at 12:00 PM CT. Title handling: titles can be mailed (USPS up to 10 titles $15; FedEx up to 10 titles $20) with a Limited POA on file; picking up a title in person costs $20 per title. Payments: in-person payments incur a $20-per-vehicle surcharge; cashier’s checks are not accepted effective May 5, 2025; cash not accepted for vehicle purchases; personal checks not accepted; approved company checks for domestic business buyers only.
Pickup Rules
Payment in full required before pickup. Free storage up to 3 days including sale day; storage then accrues per local schedule. Appointment is required for vehicle pickup; use Visitor Sign-In or the Copart Transportation App. A Gate Pass PIN is required to schedule and pick up; each vehicle has its own PIN. Vehicles may not be driven off the lot for insurance/safety reasons—bring appropriate transport (truck/trailer). On arrival, check in via app/virtual queue; staff stages and loads vehicles for standard passenger lots.

Safety rules on site: safety vests and closed‑toe shoes required; no tools in the yard; pets prohibited in storage area; minors must be accompanied.; Vehicles cannot be driven off Copart property; bring a trailer/transport. Assign via Payments Due > Send to Transporter. Transporter must use the Copart Transportation App and will receive the lot details and Gate Pass PIN by email. Appointment booking and on-site check-in required. Copart is not responsible for third‑party transporter damage/fees.
Third Party Process
Enter the transporter’s email to send pickup authorization. Transporter downloads and registers in the Copart Transportation App, books a pickup slot, checks in on arrival, and uses the Gate Pass PIN to complete pickup per app instructions.

Self Pickup Process
From Payments Due, select the vehicle(s) and schedule pickup. Use Visitor Sign-In (QR/web/app) to join the virtual queue and wait in your vehicle until text notification. On arrival, mark yourself as arrived in the Copart Transportation App; staff will move the vehicle to the loading area and load onto your trailer/transport. Vehicles cannot be driven off Copart property.
