Method: Online registration for Basic or Premier Membership. Eligibility: All members must provide a valid government-issued ID. Public (unlicensed) buyers may purchase certain ‘No License Required’ vehicles in Colorado; for many clean title and other salvage items in Colorado, a broker or appropriate license is required. Dealers/dismantlers/general businesses/exporters must upload applicable licenses and tax documents. Deposits/Buying Power: Basic Members can bid up to $2,000 without a deposit; to bid more, deposit 10% of desired buying power. Premier Members: one-time $400 refundable deposit enables bidding up to $100,000 per day.

Non-secure electronic: Credit Cards (limits ~$20,000/day and must match account holder); Wallet apps (Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal). Physical: Company Check (approved business buyers only). Cash may be accepted in person at some U.S. locations (may require ID). Not accepted/limitations: Cashier’s Checks no longer accepted effective May 5, 2025; card payments cannot be made over the phone; in-person payments incur a $20 per-vehicle surcharge.

Pickup Rules
Pickup must be scheduled. Free storage lasts 3 days including day of sale, then storage charges apply. For self-pickup: schedule a pickup appointment from Payments Due; arrive on time; two hours before your appointment Copart texts a link to check into the Virtual Queue; you can also scan a QR code at the entrance. Copart staff moves the vehicle to the loading area and loads it onto your truck/trailer. Vehicles cannot be driven off Copart facilities for legal and liability reasons. Gate Pass PIN is required to schedule and pick up; each vehicle has its own PIN visible on the Payments Due page. PIN is used by members and transporters for appointment booking and check-in.

Gate Pass PIN now required for appointment scheduling and pickup for both members and transporters; replaces older member/lot scheduling. PIN appears next to each vehicle on Payments Due and can be sent to transporters.; Payment timing: all applicable fees and vehicle amount must be paid within 3 business days (including day of auction) to avoid a $50 late fee; vehicles not paid within 8 calendar days are relisted with a Relist Fee of 10% (minimum $600).; Title handling fees: $20 per title for in-person pickup; mailing up to 10 titles via USPS for $15 or FedEx for $20 (Limited Power of Attorney required).; Card payments can’t be made over the phone; bring photo ID matching the card name for in-person card payments; daily card payment limits around $20,000.; Vehicles cannot be driven off Copart facilities; Copart staff will move/load vehicles in the loading area for pickup.

Member must authorize via Payments Due by using “Send to Transporter,” entering the transporter’s email. The transporter receives the Gate Pass PIN and pickup instructions and is prompted to download the Copart Transportation App. Transporters use the app for appointments, office queue, and paperless gate passes.
Third Party Process
On Payments Due, select lots and choose Send to Transporter, then select an existing transporter or enter a new transporter’s email. Transporter gets PIN and instructions, books appointment, checks in, and presents digital gate pass/PIN. Copart is not responsible for any damage by third‑party transporters.

Appointment required; Gate Pass PIN for each lot; government-issued ID. Copart states members picking up themselves need the Copart Transportation App. You will receive a text with a Virtual Queue check-in link ~2 hours before the appointment; QR code check-in also available at the yard.
Self Pickup Process
From Payments Due select the vehicle(s) and choose Schedule Pickup. Arrive near your scheduled time to keep your place in line. Use the texted link or entrance QR to join the Virtual Queue. Copart loads the vehicle to your truck/trailer. Title can be picked up in person for a $20 service fee (or mailed per title-mailing options). Driving vehicles off property is not permitted.
