How to Create an AHX Carrier Account & Common Roadblocks When Signing In

Whether you're new to the Exchange or returning and need to update your details, this article will walk you through the steps needed to sign up as a carrier on the Exchange and how to solve the most common errors we see in the process.

Creating a Carrier Account

Step 1: Visit the Sign Up Page

Sign up to be a carrier on our platform. Be sure to sign up as a carrier and not a shipper when prompted to create your account.

Step 2: Input Information

Fill out the necessary information on the Carrier Sign Up screen and then click Sign Up.

Step 3: Carrier Packet

You will then receive an email from Highway prompting you to fill out the Carrier Packet. This is an essential step to becoming a carrier on the Exchange. You will not be able to book loads without doing so. If you have issues regarding your Carrier Packet, please reach out to Highway.

Step 4: Set Up Password

Once your Highway Packet is complete and you meet the onboarding requirements, you will receive an email to set up your password for your AHX account.

If you don’t receive an email within a few minutes, check your junk/spam folder. This email from AHX prompting you to set up your password is commonly missed.

If you don’t meet the AHX requirements for onboarding, you will receive an email from Highway stating that you do not currently meet the requirements. Not all carriers are instantly approved.

After successfully completing these steps, you will have access to all of the available listings on the Exchange.

Common Roadblocks When Signing Back In

Forgot Password

Forgot your password? If you need help resetting your password refer to our step-by-step guide that will walk you through how to regain access.

Never Set Up Password

It is very common that after filling out the Carrier Packet, a carrier will forget to set up a password for their account or miss the email telling them to do so. In this case, follow the steps to reset your password.

Email Not Found

If you type in your associated email address and you get an error message saying “email not found,” this could mean:

  • You have not successfully completed your Carrier Packet 
  • You are using the wrong/misspelled email address

“Carrier Already Exists” Error Message

If you receive an error message saying “Carrier Already Exists,” this means that you already have an account or you are in the middle of creating one. 

If you already have an account there is no need to create a new one. Instead you can just login to your account.

If you are in the middle of creating an account, be sure to check that your Carrier Packet is successfully completed as you cannot transport without one. It is common that a carrier will begin to fill out the packet but never finish.
