Extended Notes
Post Falls Auto Auction serves customers from all around the country, with an emphasis on the Inland Northwest including Northern Idaho, Eastern/Central Washington, and Western Montana. They specialize in the liquidation of cars, trucks, classics, RVs, motorcycles, 4-wheelers, snowmobiles, boats, heavy equipment, trailers, seized items, and more. They accept consigned vehicles and other items from both dealers and private owners alike. Vehicles are accepted Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM, until the Monday before auction or until the lot fills. All vehicles that are entered into the auction must go on a test drive of up to 40/45 mph where features of the driving capability are tested. This is a generalized assessment, and notations are only made of things that cannot be noticed in a stationary inspection. All vehicles are sold in 'As-Is' condition with no warranties or guarantees.
Policies
Out-of-state bidders do not need to be onsite to complete paperwork. A VIN-specific power of attorney for each item purchased will need to be completed and notarized. This, along with a copy of the buyer’s driver license, will need to be emailed, mailed, or faxed back to PFAA prior to the start of any title transfer work. Items cannot be removed from Post Falls Auto Auction premises until this has been completed.
Due to insurance and safety regulations, children 14 and under are not allowed out on the lot or in the bidding area.
Payment Methods
Accepted forms of payment: cash, cashier’s check, company check, personal check, Visa, Discover, American Express, MasterCard, debit card, or wire transfer. There is an additional 2% processing fee on the total balance when paying by card or check.
Pickup Rules
All items must be paid in full before they can be removed from the facility. Items purchased with a check will not be considered paid in full until the check clears PFAA’s bank account. All items need to be removed by Friday, within 5 business days following the auction. Any vehicle left longer will accrue a $50 per day storage fee. Ownership of and payment on all items left on-site for longer than 90 days will be forfeited to Post Falls Auto Auction. Additionally, the buyer will still be responsible for the $50 per day storage bill.
Seller Fees
Flat rate of $200 to run an item through the auction with a reserve; $100 to run it without a reserve; $100 if the item does not sell (regardless of whether the item had a reserve). If the item sells, the run fee will be deducted from the check. If the item’s reserve is not met during the auction, the consignor can either run the item in the following auction for an additional run fee or pay the run fee and pick the item up by the Friday following the auction.
Storage Holding Fees
