Auction Delivery Details
IAA Transport offers door‑to‑door delivery within the continental U.S. and delivery to select international destinations. For some port deliveries, a Dock Receipt is required at time of order. IAA also offers Auto Tow (local, door‑to‑door within a branch’s service territory) by enrolling through IAA Transport.
Buyer Fee Details
Day vehicle was awarded + 4 business days free (purchases must be secured within 5 business days). Storage then $50/day.

Storage Holding Fees
Free storage through the day the vehicle was awarded plus 4 additional business days (purchases must be secured within 5 business days of purchase). After the free period, storage is $50.00 per day. Payment due by 5:00 PM branch local time on the due date; late payment fee is $50.00 or 2% (whichever is greater).
Who can Register
Online registration. Individuals (Public buyers) may bid only at auctions/branches and on vehicles open to the public (varies by state). Licensed Business buyers can bid where their license meets state requirements. Registration requires government-issued ID and proof of address; Licensed Business buyers also need a business license. Annual registration fee: $200. Document upload via website or IAA Buyer App.

Apps: Buyers should use the exact app name “IAA Buyer App” for bidding, alerts, and payments. Transporters should use the exact app name “IAA Tow App” to schedule pickups; transporters can register as outbound vehicle transporters at any IAA branch. Auctions are digital-only via IAA AuctionNow; no in-branch kiosks or in-person bidding. For payment, American Express is not accepted for card payments; USPS money orders are not accepted (effective June 1, 2024). MoneyGram allows transporters to pay on a buyer’s behalf using the invoice details. Public vs. dealer eligibility varies by state; the Portage (WI) branch page does not state that it is open to public buyers—individual buyers should verify ‘Who Can Bid’ on each vehicle’s page.
Pickup Rules
Pickup allowed on sale day during yard hours. Purchased vehicles must be secured within 5 business days. Safety vests are required for transport drivers/towers on IAA property. IAA loaders will not lift items over 11,000 lbs; transporters are responsible for proper equipment and loading. After payment confirmation, an email with detailed pickup instructions serves as the release form to pick up the vehicle (for offsite/virtual lane sales; practice commonly used across branches).
