We are currently looking for a proven, dynamic and results-driven Head of Software Engineering.

Job Overview:

Our Head of Software Engineering is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing our software development team. This role will be responsible for driving technical excellence, fostering innovation and ensuring the successful delivery of of our innovative software products. The Head of Software Engineering will achieve this by strategically managing our engineering team, multiple projects, and technical roadmaps across the organization. We are looking for an experienced, technical, AI-first leader who specializes in applying systems thinking to solve problems.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement the overall software engineering strategy, aligning with company goals and market needs, including technology roadmaps and innovation initiatives.

Team Management:

• Lead and manage our team of software engineers, overseeing their performance, career development, and recruitment.

Project Oversight:

• Monitor and manage large-scale engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and adherence to budget.

Technical Expertise:

• Maintain a strong understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends to guide technical decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Budgeting and Resource Allocation:

• Manage the software engineering department budget, allocating resources efficiently across projects and teams.

Collaboration:

• Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams such as product management, sales, and operations to ensure alignment on product development and business objectives.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Performance Evaluation:

• Set clear performance metrics for the engineering team and regularly assess their performance against established goals.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field
• Extensive experience in software engineering leadership roles, ideally with a proven track record of managing large teams and complex projects
• Deep technical knowledge across various software engineering disciplines relevant to the industry
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
