What Types of Vehicles Can AHX Ship?

Auto Hauler Exchange is designed to simplify and streamline vehicle logistics for a wide range of shippers and carriers. Whether you're a dealership, fleet manager, remarketer, or auction house, our platform supports the transport of various vehicle types across the U.S.

Here’s a breakdown of the most common vehicle types we support on the Exchange:

Standard Passenger Vehicles

• Sedans
• Coupes
• Hatchbacks
• Convertibles
• Station wagons

These are the most frequently shipped vehicles on the Exchange and are compatible with nearly all open and enclosed carriers.

SUVs & Crossovers

AHX supports both compact and full-size SUVs. These vehicles may require a slightly higher transport rate due to their size and weight, which carriers take into account when bidding.

Pickup Trucks

From midsize trucks to heavy-duty pickups (e.g., F-150s, Silverados, RAMs), we regularly support shipments of pickups. Be sure to note any modifications (lift kits, oversized tires, etc.) in the Pick-Up Notes to Carrier section to ensure the carrier understands what equipment is required for proper transportation.

Vans

• Minivans
• Cargo vans
• Passenger vans

These vehicles are typically heavier and taller, so specifying dimensions helps ensure proper carrier match.

Electric Vehicles (EVs)

EVs like Teslas, Rivians, and Bolts can be transported on the Exchange. Due to the heavier nature of these vehicles, they tend to cost a bit more than typical sedans or SUVs.

Luxury & Exotic Cars

AHX also supports high-value and exotic vehicle shipments. We recommend selecting enclosed transport when shipping luxury vehicles to ensure maximum protection.

Inoperable Vehicles

Inoperable vehicles can be shipped on AHX but they must be clearly marked as “Inoperable” in the upload form. Carriers will need equipment like winches or forklifts for loading and unloading, so transparency is critical.
