Common Upload Errors

If you're having trouble uploading loads, documents, or data into the Auto Hauler Exchange platform, we’re here to help! Below are some of the most common upload errors and simple steps to resolve them quickly.

Missing Required Fields

When uploading a load or a VIN, ensure that nothing is highlighted in red. This indicates that there is missing information and the system will not allow you to upload until all information sections are filled out.

The most common section to miss is contact information. Ensure that you have entered a name and phone number by clicking on the “phone” icon. Contact information must be added for both the Pickup and Delivery locations.

Deleting VINs

When deleting a VIN make sure that you click the “red trash can” icon. Removing the VIN number from the text box will not remove it from the upload. 

Address Not Appearing 

If you are typing your address into the Upload Form and it isn’t appearing, double-check the address in Google to ensure it’s correct. If it’s correct, you can create that address in the Address Book, then go back to the Upload Form to use on that upload.

To create that location, go to your Address Book and click “New Address.” If the address is still not appearing, find a nearby address to use. Then, edit the street number and name manually. Once this address is created, type that location’s name in the Upload Form and those details will automatically be saved for future use!

Saving locations will allow for a quicker and smoother upload process in the future.

I Don’t Have a 17-Digit VIN 

If you don’t have a 17-digit VIN our system will not recognize it. Don’t worry, we can still transport it! Just reach out to support or give us a call at (248) 480-9874 and we can help you get that vehicle on the Exchange.

Invalid VIN Error

If you are entering a VIN into the text box and it does not appear in the Current Upload section, check for any Os and change those to zeros. If your VIN is correct but not showing up, reach out to us and we can give you a hand!

Naming the Pickup/Delivery Location

Be sure to name the pickup and delivery location so that your driver has the information they need to successfully complete your vehicle transport. 

For example, if a vehicle is picking up from Auto Hauler Exchange be sure to name the location “Auto Hauler Exchange” rather than 303 E Third St., not just the address itself.
