Buyer Fee Details
Buyer's premium fees are as follows: $1 – $999.00: $200.00; $1,000.00 – $1,999.00: $300.00; $2,000.00 – $2,999.00: $400.00; $3,000.00 – $8,000.00: $500.00; $8,001.00 and up: $800.00. Additionally, a $15.00 documentation fee is added to all vehicle purchases.

Powell Auto Auction was the first public auto auction in the state of Tennessee and is the only public auto auction in the Knoxville area. Since its start, Powell Auto Auction has sold over 30,000 vehicles at auction. With over 100 vehicles offered in each auction, there is no lack of inventory to choose from.
Policies
・All bidders are required to make a $500.00 cash deposit for bidding approval for both live and online bidding until they are established customers. Dealers can set up a permanent account.
・A 3% fee will be added to the purchase price of all vehicles purchased online.
・All online buyers must pay for any vehicle(s) purchased before 12:00 PM – Noon (ET) on the Monday following the auction. Late payment will result in a $100.00 fee per vehicle for each day the payment is not received.

・Accepted methods: Cash (U.S. currency), cashier’s check, personal check with certified bank approval letter, or wire transfer. Credit card payments are not accepted for purchasing a vehicle.
Pickup Rules
Vehicles must be removed from the auction premises by 5 PM on Tuesday following the auction to avoid storage fees.
Seller Fees
It costs an individual $50 to sell their vehicle at Powell Auction. The deadline for bringing a vehicle to be sold is the Thursday before the auction at 4 PM (ET).
Storage Holding Fees
Vehicles not removed from the auction premises by 5 PM on Tuesday will incur a fee of $20.00 per day unless other arrangements are made with the auction office.
