Copart’s fees are based on a percentage of the final price of the vehicle purchased. Members also pay a Virtual Bidding Fee based on the final sales price, that is never more than $149. A $79 Gate Fee is charged to all purchases when vehicles are picked up. An Environmental Fee of $10 is applied to each item sold. Additional fees may include an In Person Payment Surcharge of $20 per vehicle, a Late Payment Fee of $50 per vehicle if not paid within 3 business days, a Vehicle Relist Fee of 10% of the price of the vehicle with a minimum fee of $600 if not paid in full within 8 calendar days, a Third Party Financing Fee of $69, a Title Pickup Fee of $20 per title, and a Title Mailing Fee of $15-$20 depending on the mailing method.

Copart Van Nuys operates multiple sales per week, all conducted online. Members are encouraged to pick up vehicles promptly to avoid storage fees, as sold vehicles tend to crowd the locations.

Storage fees are charged daily if you leave your vehicle at a Copart location for longer than three business days. The fee structure is as follows: Day 1 (Day of Sale): Free; Day 2: Free; Day 3: Free; Day 4: $5; Day 5: $10; Day 6: $15; Day 7: $20; Day 8: $25; Day 9: $25; Day 10+: $30 per day.
