Buyer Fee Details
Copart charges a $79 Gate Fee for each vehicle picked up. An Environmental Fee of $10 is applied to each item sold. A Virtual Bidding Fee, based on the final sales price, is also charged, not exceeding $149. Additional fees may apply, such as a $50 late payment fee if the vehicle amount and all applicable fees aren’t paid within 3 business days, including the day of the auction.

Copart offers fee discounts to members who meet certain conditions, such as paying with secured payment methods or purchasing a high volume of vehicles annually.
Policies
・A $20 per vehicle charge is applied to all in-person cash and other payment methods. Electronic payment methods can be used to avoid this fee.
・If a vehicle isn’t paid in full within 8 calendar days, including the day of the auction, it will be relisted, and the original high bidder will be charged a Relist Fee of 10% of the price of the vehicle, with a minimum fee of $600.

・Accepted payment methods include credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover), bank transfers, PayPal, and cash and checks at Copart locations. Note that checks must clear before vehicle collection.
Pickup Rules
Vehicles must be picked up within three business days to avoid storage fees. Storage fees begin accruing on the fourth day after the sale.

Storage Holding Fees
Storage fees are charged daily if a vehicle is not picked up within three business days. The fee structure is as follows: Day 1-3: Free; Day 4: $5; Day 5: $10; Day 6: $15; Day 7: $20; Day 8: $25; Day 9: $25; Day 10+: $30 per day.
Who can Register
Both licensed dealers and unlicensed consumers can register. Registration can be completed online. A security deposit is required, with a minimum of $600 or 10% of the maximum bid amount, whichever is greater.
